Welcome to the Coolidge Junior High School Athletic Department website. Our site will be focused on providing quick and reliable information for our students, families, and visitors. A place where our athletic programs and department can provide quick information on practices, games, fundraisers, etc.

Physical Packet and Athletic Handbook

CJHS Athletic Department will require that all three tasks provided in the links below will need to be completed prior to submission to the department for participation. Failure to complete the Brainbook Concussion Education, Student Athletic Handbook signature page, and CAA 25/26 Physical Form will result in refusal of participation in any sport or activity until it is completed in full.

CJHS athletes must use the CAA 2026-2027 Physical Form in order to participate. This form will need to be taken to the student's physical examination and filled out by the healthcare provider. Physicals must be dated after June 1, 2026, in order to be used for the 2026-2027 school year.

What to Expect at Practices & Games

Practices will be from 2:50 pm - 4:45 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Practices are closed to parents/spectators.

Please make sure you are on time to pick up your participating students.

Games begin at 4:00 pm unless noted otherwise.

Coaches are responsible for determining the duration of play.

Academic Eligibility

Eligibility checks will be done by the Athletic Director's office weekly while in season.

A soft pull of student's grades will occur on Wednesday's at 8:00 AM for grade checks. A hard pull will occur the oncoming Monday at 10:00 AM for those students failing during the soft pull to determine eligibility; they will remain ineligible for the rest of the eligibility period totaling 6 days (Mon-Sat).

  1. All student athletes are expected to achieve at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA). Students whoo falls below a 2.0 GPA at the time of each eligibility check will be deemed ineligible for participation.
  2. Student must be passing all CUSD classes, including Coolidge Virtual Academy (CVA) on-line courses (students may not receive any F's)

Consequences of Academically Ineligibility

  1. 1st and 2nd time ineligible athletes may not travel to away games or dress from home games: however, they are to attend practices, as well as home games.
  2. 3rd ineligibility in the same season may result in an athlete being removed form the team.
